Guided by my interest in understanding our world, I began my academic training studying Physics with Astrophysics (1st class honours) at the University of Glasgow and from this moved to understanding our own planet, cumulating my training with my PhD thesis where I tackled the challenge of understanding inherent sampling uncertainty in weather forecast models, earning a doctorate with Magna Cum Laude from the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich.
Diving into coding for modelling, data analysis and visualisation for my Masters and PhD, I became adept at using Python and handling data became second nature. As my strengths as well as interests lie in AI, analytical thinking, data analysis, predictive modelling and programming, it is natural that I am striving towards a career in Data Science. Stripping everything back, we are afterall simply people on Earth. I aim to live life mindful of this, and treat it, as it is our own home, with respect. Recent developments in AI have led to vast increases in emissions, however I believe there are likewise incredible opportunities in this space to harness AI for accelerating progress in sustainability. I'm exited to be a part of this!
